Please give us more options

I am on pain management, and I take Methadone for the pain. Methadone is highly addictive, and also plugs your bowels and many other side effects. I live in Ohio, where MJ is not legal. So i might be moving soon if Ohio doesn't get it passed. Now i have not smoked pot since i was in college 15 years ago. The reason is, i will not do anything illegal where i will get in trouble. I cant see myself in prison with spinal bifida. Ain't gonna happen. So as of now, i am forced to take a pill that is normally given out to those who are trying to get off Heroin. So we need more options then whats available. Its so frustrating. NOTBUZZEDOHIO

Medical marijuana is legal just over the border - Michigan Medical Marijuana. But hopefully Ohio will join the other states that support their citizen/patients by legalizing medical marijuana.

WHY IS IT THAT THEY PUT RESTRICTIONS ON ALL THE FUN??!!

I LIVE IN MISSOURI AN I FEEL THE SAME WAY THAT MOST OF PPL FEEL ITS A PLANT, IT ACTUALLY HAS ABILITY TO HEAL. I WISH I LIVED N ONE OF THE FOURTEEN STATES THAT ARE COOL ENOUGH TO GIVE US AN OPTION TO TOKE UP LOL. I BELIEVE THAT MJ IS AWESOME PERSONALLY. I REALLY DNT KNOW A MEDICAL TERM OR ANY BUT I SUFFER FROM A EXTREME LOSS OF APPETITE AND DID I MENTION IM 350LBS (GO FIGURE RITE?) BUT FOR SOME REASON I JUST STOPPED BEING HUNGRY. THE ONLY WAY I EAT UNLESS I GO FOR A DAY R TWO IS TO SMOKE. IDK WHY ITS LIKE THIS AND IT SEEMS LIKE SINCE ITS ILLEGAL HERE I CANT REALLY ASK MY DOC FOR MJ AND WHEN I SAY THAT THEY LOOK AT MY WEIGHT AND THINK DIFF. I DECIDED TOAY THAT IF IN TWO YEAR MJ ISNT LEGAL HERE THEY CAN KISS MY TAXS DOLLARS BYE LOL. MJ ISNT BAD IT HELPS ME AND MILLIONS OF OTHER PPL ONE WAY R THE OTHER. i have had 2 surg.on my back and a total knee replacement at age 31,ive been afraid of getting hooked on pain pills so i tried weed. it works and you dont go crazy if your out. for God sake let it go, let us use it and enjoy it!

Pa Needs To Leagleize NOW!

i am a 24 almost 25 year old with hep c and chronic pain syndrome a bad back knee...ect... in michigen i would be granted use of pot to help get threw my day to day routine but here in Pa its not exceptable even with the bill with rep cohen is try ing to pass my doctors decided that oxy's and morphine would work better than pot thanks alot i just got out of rehab to get over the phisical withdraws that these drugs have given me and after completing my rehab still have to be on a drug called suboxone to keep control of urges this is redictulouse when will it all end all i can say is i hope soon i wont be around much longer i've been told and want nothing more than to stop worrie n that i'm going to be busted and my son taken all because our state is dragging there feet on passing in my opinion and the opinion of many of my friends the smartest bill that could be in our states history i mean look at the alcohol proabition that did alot huh so free my weed!

WHAT HAPPENED TO LAND OF THE FREE

We as the American people have protested for the the legalization of Marijuana...and our so called "freedom" well hate to break it to you...it's fake. We are free to do what our government deems necessary. Marijuana is a natural substance, that I personally can testify has helped many critically ill people suffering from chronic pain. As well, when properly used has no harsher side effects than tobacco or alcohol. I seen a Dr. stated it has harsh effects on the lungs...PS make it an 18 or older substance, and also dumb'@$$ TOBACCO ALSO HAS KNOW CANCER CAUSING AGENTS...OUR GOVERNMENT HAS THAT POSTED ON EVERY PACKAGE!! Tobacco as well causes harsh effects on the lungs, so does smog, so does asthma, so does hay dust, so does a lot of other things Americans are subject to everyday. Get over the fact our government officials are closet smokers, not subject to the same random drug test as the rest of us. DEAR MR. PRESIDENT, MILLIONS OF AMERICANS SMOKE MARIJUANA. THE ONLY THING YOU ARE DOING BY KEEPING IT ILLEGAL IS OVER CROWDING OUR JAILS, AND LOSING MONEY BY NOT LEGALIZING AND TAXING IT. OH AND IF AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU PROJECT ARE SMOKING OR SWALLOWING IT....IMAGINE THE JOBS YOU COULD CREATE!!

Where is the power of the people?

what is really going on with our country? We as the people have the power to change things we just havent utilized it properly.Our government utilizes its power through propaganda (TV,RADIO,BILLBOARDS)and its sad to say but they have been winning.Its legal for them to use narcotics as presciptions but its not legal to use a natural med,the government really needs it put in there face as to how dangerous the medications they are distibuting versus MJ. We shoot people full of radiation and very addictive drugs but are forbidden to use something natural and harmless. Here in these days in time in the marijuana community we need a national movement/PEACEFULL protest and not just an annual one if we really want something we will have to fight for it every min,every hour of everyday untill we are really heard.Are you willing to stand out and make the difference for days, weeks, or months at a time,I am!

the reason most heard for not legalizing it

I have heard so many parents say if marijuana is legal it will be too available to my kids. This is completely false. Resistrication could be put on the sale similiar to alcohol. Sure, if your kid wants it bad enough they will figure out a way, however as it stands "joe dealer" on the street will not card your kid and the process of obtaining it remain as easy as getting the money. The desperately needed tax revenue could be raised for the state with little complaint instead of cutting the school budget, police force and ect. Illegal marijuana just allows for criminal types to make tax free income and reduce the amount of funding available to combat the more "serious" drug like meth, ecstacy, and various other man made drugs that create crime, addiction, and are not regulated in anyway. Why not consentrate our efforts on the addictive and dangerous drugs. I am ill and s will be getting my perscription evetually. Best wishes with your endevorsdres. Katie

LEGALIZE MARIJUANA

After dealing with stomach pains for the last 3 years, past summer I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. I was on a ton of different medications, which did not help much at all with my disease and gave me side effects that I couldn't stand. I was tired of being sick, tired of seeing doctors, and tired of taking medications that didn't work. I never used marijuana in my life until October of this past Fall and realized what a helpful drug it actually is. I did a lot of reading and research into it before I tried, I even talked to my doctor personally about using marijuana to treat my symptoms from colitis (who actually said he has patients that use and it does help with the symptoms, but he can't recommend it or prescribe it to his patient because Ohio has yet to legalize it). Within a week my symptoms were already beginning to go away and I could actually go out and live a normal life again. I was a 22 year old college student at the time (now 23) and it was hard for me to even get to class because of the illness. The only cure for the disease I have is to remove the part of my large intestine that is infected by the disease and only being 23, I really didn't want to take this route just yet. I still use to keep my symptoms under control and my colitis has been in remission and has not flared since I started using. I just graduated college a week ago with a bachelors degree and I also played Division 1 baseball 4 of the 5 years I attended college (I'm not saying this in any way to brag, just to prove that marijuana has nothing to do with productivity like most people think). I'm tired of having to worry about getting into trouble with police or not getting a job because of drug testing. There's so many people out there that can benifit from marijuana and I've experienced it first hand. If alcohol and cigarettes can be legal, which kill thousands of people a year, why isn't a drug that can actually help millions legal?

what's keepin ya?

i myself was on methadone and kickin it was the most horrible thing ever. i'm off of it now but don't rush yourself. i now live in oregon and have my card.....wonderful. i also make brownies, butter, oil, you name it. it's the best pain killer and non addictive....time to move bro.....good luck
